Sleep is your best friend. A good 8 hours’ sleep is very necessary for healthy skin. But it is what you do before you snooze, matters the most to your skin.
While we doze, the parasympathetic nervous system has a chance to repair and balance our skin. When we regularly miss out on adequate sleep, skin is at risk for increased dryness and inflammation and decreased collagen repair.
Though there is no substitute a good adequate sleep, there are few rituals for you to follow for a healthy, active and glowing skin. Below mention rituals are the much-required beauty boosters:
1. Cleanse your skin thoroughly
If you apply make-up then make sure to remove it after a hectic day. Take a rose water on a ball of cotton and remove the make-up. After removing makeup, you could apply bentonite clay or use a cream or a simple baby wipe to cleanse the skin.
After the exposure of our skin to pollution for a whole day, our skin may counter premature ageing and inflammations. Properly cleansing your face at the end of the day gives skin a breather. Sleeping with your makeup makes the skin dull and unhealthy. While you remove make-up, do not use ultra-hot or ultra-cold water.
2.Try the multi-tasking treatment
There could be multiple issues with your skin. You may face pimples, dryness, back heads or even sun burns. For fighting ageing to fighting breakouts to fighting sunburns, you have to use multiple treatments. There are many multi-tasking treatment creams, cleansers, facial gels that help with night ritual.
Having a good night cream is imperative, particularly as we get older and our skin needs more TLC. Busy lifestyles can mean skin maintenance often falls out of priority list. Packed full of actives, from gentle acids to heavyweight protein-boosters, the multi-tasking creams are the all you need.
3. Hydrate and moisturize
Before sleeping it is very necessary to hydrate and moisturize your skin. To keep your skin away from dehydrating, you first of all need to drink too much of water. And at night, after a day of hard work, apply essential oil on your face and other dried out parts.
Or you could apply moisturizers with body or face lotion. If you have oily skin, you could try dry oils. Long, hot showers strip skin of its moisture and wash away protective oils. So, limit showers to 10 minutes and keep the water cool. Stay away from products with colour, fragrance, or those that produce bubbles or have “antibacterial” on the label.
4. A mini-facial is must
Getting a facial often is impossible, especially for the women who are working. Thus, they only have a night to enhance and nourish your skin. Give your face a mini facial twice a week and not every day. The facial could open the pores of your face skin, which will allow your skin to breath.
When your skin could breathe properly, it will glow. It could also help with the marks that are caused by bursting the pimple. It’s also been proven to stabilize oil production and promote healthy cell growth.
5. A scalp massage
These days woman are having stressful day who have to go to work, manage family and give time to the husband. In between all these stress, they do not get time for themselves even if they want to spend some quality time with their own. If you are one of them, then try scalp massaging.
The massaging of your scalp will give you relief. You could use oil to massage. Take few drops of oil on your fingertips and slowly massage the scalp. From the roots, you could slowly massage towards the end of hairs and then tie them. Keeping the oily scalp overnight and then washing it with baby shampoo will make your hairs healthy.
